Mike Brown ARPS
I enjoy taking classical landscapes and pictorial shots, especially mountains and winter scenes. However, art forms do not stagnate. Photography is no exception. Recent technological advances have enormously broadened the scope for experimenting with colour and creative abstract derivative images. Manipulation may now be so extreme as to push at the boundaries of what can be called photography, but this fascinates me and I see it as an art form unique to our time. Just as music can enhance or supplement the appreciation of an image, so can colour change and creative use of form. As Kandinsky said ‘Colour is a power which directly influences the soul.'
